Hi! My name is Jesse and I have been hooked on gaming ever since my dad brought home a second-hand SNES back in the early 90’s. I used to play hours and hours of Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World and Street Fighter II.
When I was 6 years old, I walked through the mall with my friend and his mom. In the middle of the aisle stood a pillar with four colorful looking things sticking out. These turned out to be the brand-new Game Boy Color with the first generation Pokémon games.
From then on I have played many games on different consoles. I still play some golden oldies every now and then. I love the stories and the sounds of these old games. After seeing an online video of somebody restoring a Game Boy to full glory in 2022, I had to try it myself. I ordered four junk GBC’s from Japan, fixed them up nicely and UKIYO MODS was born.
